Celebrate the people you love while they're still here to recognize it.
WE CAPTURE EVERYTHING. YOU HAVE IT FOREVER.

They're both gone now. And what I've learned in their absence is that even the most larger-than-life people fade with time. Not immediately. At first, the memories are vivid and the loss is sharp. But slowly, without even realizing it, the details start to go. The specifics. The nuance. The things that made them them.
I was able to record one of their stories before he passed. The other, it was too late. I can't tell you what that costs me. But I can tell you the difference between the two. One grandfather I can pass on — his voice, his words, his story — to the people who loved him and to the ones who never got the chance to know him. The other exists only in the memories of those of us still here.
That's why The Human Experience Legacies exists. Not to replace the people we love. But to make sure that when they're gone, they aren't.
My grandfathers were beloved and enigmatic; the kind of people whose presence you feel before they even speak. They were known storytellers, respected in their communities — the people that come up in conversation, even when they're not in the room.
But there were other facets to them. The ones that lived in the quieter spaces. The ones that only came out in the sacred moments of family and relationship.
The Why

We were built for story. For thousands of years - through oral tradition, art, literature, music - we have found ways to record who we are and where we came from. Stories are the thread that connects one generation to the next. They are the only thing we leave behind that still speaks.
The truth is, we know what regret looks like. It's never about the money spent, but the stories left uncaptured.
The book and the recording are the keepsake. The heirloom is something else entirely - the voice, the laugh, the version of a story that only one person in the world can tell. You can't recreate that. You can't get it back once it's gone. And it won't wait.

One Purchase, Generations of Memories
Why does the interview have to be in person?
I've never conducted a remote interview. Here's why:
People share things face-to-face they don’t over video. Vulnerability requires presence. In-person also means superior audio quality (no dropouts, no compression), no technology barriers for elderly subjects, and I capture the full context - pauses, body language, the moment before they answer.
A professional legacy interview done in person captures something remote recording simply can't. In-person requires more coordination, but 20 years from now, you'll be grateful it was done right.
What are the requirements for doing an interview?
The only real requirements are that
Your loved one is willing and able to participate. If they can hold a conversation, they can do this.
The interview is conducted in English. (I don't currently offer translation services.)
You have a quiet, comfortable space for the interview. This could be their home, your home, or another location where they feel at ease.
No special equipment needed. No technical setup. Just a willingness to share their story.
How Long Does It Take & What’s Included?

Frequently Asked Questions
Will they actually open up?
I’ve found that even the quietest people share when they feel truly heard. After traveling the world conducting life-story interviews, I've learned this: it's not about the questions, it's about creating the right conditions for vulnerability.
If your loved one can have a conversation, they can do this. And what comes out of that room will stay with your family forever.
How do I bring this up with them without making it feel like 'the end'?
This is a celebration, not a farewell:
Most people are honored when asked. They worry their stories don't matter, and you're telling them they do. If you're nervous about the conversation, we can talk it through during your consultation call.
Can I be present during the interview?
It depends on what will create the best environment for your loved one.
Some people are more open when it's just them and me. They feel less self-conscious, less worried about how they're being perceived by family. Others feel more comfortable with a familiar face in the room.
During our consultation call, we'll discuss what makes the most sense for your specific situation. The goal is always the same: create the conditions where the best, most honest stories emerge.
Can I give this as a gift?
Absolutely — and it's one of the most meaningful gifts you can give.
• Milestone birthdays (70th, 75th, 80th)
• Anniversaries
• Mother's Day / Father's Day
• Retirement celebrations
• 'Just because’, before time runs out
I offer gift certificates that beautifully explain the experience without giving away all the details. You can present it however feels right (a card, a conversation, a family gathering, etc.)
How do I get started?
Fill out the contact form or book a consultation call. We'll have a 30-minute conversation about your loved one and what you hope to capture, no pressure, just a genuine conversation about whether this is right for you.

Gift Forever
Some gifts get used once and forgotten. This one gets passed down. A gift certificate is a meaningful way to start something that lasts far longer than you will.
